For a 2 star hotel, they did an excellent job. The interior is much nicer than the exterior. I guess you really can't judge a book by the cover.

Friendly staff, included breakfast.

Our visit was short and we used the room for sleeping purposes. So basically, it was a good stay. .

I liked the location. Close to where I was going to visit.

I didn't like that they did not provide shampoo.

I would stay at this hotel again. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast area was clean and good.

Clean and nice. Very comfortable.

The room had an old smell in it.

The pet-friendly La Quinta Inn San Antonio South Park comprises 122 reasonably priced rooms designed for the business traveler and the vacationer. Items included with the room rate at this two-story hotel are a Bright Side breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room coffee and parking. The property is located south of downtown San Antonio off Interstate 35 at the Military Drive intersection. The hotel is within walking distance of the South Park Mall and the Mayan Movie Theatre. Other area landmarks and attractions include the Colonial Mission Trail, River Walk, the Alamodome, SeaWorld marine park, the Six Flags Fiesta Texas amusement park, Palo Alto College and Lackland Air Force Base.

This is not the most popular of the La Quintas in San Antonio but it does have some redeeming factors that allow us to give the hotel the YES rating. The rates here are lower than many of its sister properties and the rooms are clean and comfortable although some clients thought they tended to be basic. There were complaints about a poor attitude from some of the employees while others said they found the staff here to be friendly and efficient. Many travelers said they would stay here again and recommend the property to family and friends.
