The hotel was very high quality. It was in a great location right outside of River Walk (by less than a mile), but was connected to the Yellow Route of the trolley system (very cool in itself). It provides the accessibility of San Antonio without the crowds and noise. The staff was also very nice. The only complaint was that the maid service knocked on my door every morning around 9 am. I'm a visiting student from Penn State out for the Alamo Bowl and we don't wake up that early by a long shot.

It was in a very convenient location and the people were kind and courteous to out-of-towners.

It ran out of extra pillows.

The 137-room Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio Downtown / Market Square provides quality accommodation at a sensible price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking hotel is within a mile of the citys famed River Walk and close to the Alamo, Hemisfair Park and the River Center Mall. The property has two meeting rooms for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 44 guests. Other nearby attractions and landmarks include Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas Theme Park, the Schlitterbahn Water Park, five golf courses, the San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium and the Retama Racetrack. Items included in the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7.

Those here to see the sights say this hotel was perfect. The price was right, the location ideal and the staff went out of their way to insure you had a good time. El Mercado, the biggest Mexican in the U.S., is just steps away and the trolley to take you to all of the tourist sights stops right outside the door. Saving note: Parking here is free, something for which many neighboring properties make a charge. Tip from those who have stayed here. Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool. Most clients say they would stay here again on future visit to San Antonio and they have no hesitation in recommending the property to others.
