Perfect driving location for Pharr, McAllen area. Near major highways, but still quiet. Beautiful lobby and common area. Biggest plus: enthusiastic friendly young staff. Everyone smiled and acknowledged the guests. No request was too small. Cinnamon rolls are delicious! Also, safe and secure.

Extremely helpful, friendly staff, from borrowing scissors to faxing papers for me.

Placed in smoking room; it was very clean but could smell smoke. Next time, will specify non-smoking.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean, plenty of space in the rooms, and great breakfast on the go.

Enjoyed the free continental breakfast and the pool is awesome.

I will most definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Clean and comfortable rooms. I especially enjoyed having a fridge and microwave, very convenient.

Even though it was a non-smoking room, the smell of smoke was very strong.

The 81-room Holiday Inn Express Pharr is close to both the McAllen and Harlingen Airports and provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business traveler and the vacationer. Items included with the room rate at this four-story hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, evening cocktails, a morning newspaper, in-room tea and coffee and parking. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 50 guests. The hotel is five miles from excellent shopping at the La Plaza Mall and a 20- minute drive from The Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlet Mall. Other area landmarks and attractions include the San Juan Shrine, Pharr Convention Center, McAllen Convention Center, Edinburgh Regional Hospital, McAllen Regional Hospital, UT Pan-Am University and the Birding and Wildlife Center in Bentsen State Park.

This Holiday Inn Express is very popular with business travelers who say this is one of the best places to stay in the area. The front office team provides lots of helpful information and the rooms here are spacious, well equipped and have very comfy beds. Vacationers appreciated the location close to the Mexican border and the reasonable rates. There were good reviews about the complimentary breakfast which made a great start to a morning in the Rio Grande Valley.
