Motel is getting run down. Bottom floors that open to pool area apparently allow bar-b-queuing and partying and therefore a fair amount of trash was lying about. Although the rooms open to an inside hallway, the door to the outside were not locked in any way (key card or otherwise). Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was poor even for continental style.

Good location, good price.

Rooms a little run down. Doors to outside do not lock.

This is obviously an older motel, but has been well-maintained. The rooms are large, the TV reception excellent. I was surprised to find such a nice hotel in Pecos.

Happy hour with free soft drinks, beer and hot dogs.

There was nothing not to like.

If you're going to tell people that the pool is open, make sure your filtration equipment works. Being that the pool was a selling point for me, with small children, and the Motel 6 next door had half a pool full of green water, you would think that Quality Inn would keep an open clean pool.

When asked, the clerk said the pool was open.

After checking in, I was told that the pool was closed. My kids were upset.

The pet-friendly Quality Inn in Pecos is near the Rattlesnake Bomber Base and comprises 96 rooms equally suited to families on vacation or the business traveler. Items included with the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room coffee, a newspaper on weekday mornings and parking. The property is located north of Interstate 20, just east of U.S. Highway 285. Area landmarks and attractions include the West of the Pecos Museum, Maxey Park and Zoo, Reeves County Municipal Golf Course and Monahans Sandhills State Park. Pecos was home to the first rodeo in 1883, and today the annual West of the Pecos Rodeo is still a popular event.

This is a decent hotel and ideal for an overnight stop. That is the opinion of many guests who have spent a night here and were impressed by the low rates, clean and comfortable rooms and helpful and pleasant workers at the front who gave good advice about the area attractions and restaurants. Several travelers said they planned to return to this Quality Inn and spend more time exploring the Pecos attractions.
