It was in a good location right off the interstate, clean and staff was nice. The price was a little high for the room.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.

The double room I received was very basic and I did not feel it was in the price range I paid.

The 57-room Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Killeen provides budget-priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The three-story, non-smoking property is within minutes of Fort Hood and close to the offices of many major corporations including Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, parking, local telephone calls and breakfast available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has one small meeting room for business or social functions. There are two golf courses close to the property and it is a short drive to the Killeen Shopping Mall and the Bell Country Expo Center.

All the guestrooms, and 29 suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, microwave oven, refrigerator, two telephones with voicemail and data ports, coffee and tea making facilities, cable television with movie and news channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock and a hairdryer. The suites have a CD player and 32-inch television in the living room and a second television in the bedroom.

Travelers visiting friends or family at Fort Hood said this is the best place to stay. Former clients of this Marriott property the first one in Killeen say the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There were good comments about the complimentary breakfast and reasonable rates. Frequent visitors said it was worth the extra money to stay in a suite, which had a 32-inch television and separate bedroom. Minor gripe was that the swimming pool was small. And small doesnt rate in Texas.
