Staff was very pleasant. The outside appearance wasn't the best but inside, rooms were clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. I'd certainly stay there again.
The staff called after check-in to make sure everything was ok.

We were visiting our son who was being deployed from Fort Hood, and this hotel met our needs for a reasonable price. We didn't expect much for the price, but the room was clean and the staff was excellent. Not the best area, but it was close to the fort. Biggest problem was lack of hot water if we didn't shower very early.

All we needed was a place to rest our heads and shower our bodies, while we visited Ft. Hood's Army Post that our son & his family are stationed.
The proximity to the Army post our son & his family live on was excellent.
It seemed to be dimly lit in the interior.

This is an older hotel and it gets many complaints about poor housekeeping. However we allow this property the YES rating because more recent guests said this La Quinta offers great value and they said their rooms were well equipped and clean. There were good reviews for the friendly and efficient team of employees who had helpful hints about shopping and dining in the neighborhood. Some visitors said they would stay here again while others said they would look elsewhere on future visits to Killeen even if did mean spending more money.
