Beautiful hotel with 1st class service. Setting on canal is beautiful, as well the pool and jacuzzi. Felt like being away at a luxurious resort. Excellent fitness center with many amenities. Dinner at Trevis' restaurant was superb

Romantic weekend in Dallas? - posted on 05/10/2006

If you want to "fan the flames" this hotel is a good place to start building a wekend getaway around. They have a good rating and their suites had a weekend rate under $200, the room service was spot on and the views from our 18th floor balcony were beautiful. We used the Las Colinas village as a walk around experience and attended a wedding reception across the lake. I've used the hotel before and this weekend was my best stay with them to date.

I stay at the Mandalay several times each year and always enjoy my stay. The staff is excellent!

I certainly don't know how this hotel received a four diamond/four star rating. The rooms are no better than many two and three star hotels, the bathrooms are tired, the bed linens are low quality, the airconditioner sounds like a jet engine and the food is average. Not my idea of a four star hotel. There are better choices in the Dallas/Las Colinas area.

I traveled to Texas for a conference and spend a wonderful weekend at the Mandalay. Staff was Very responsive, rooms were elegantly decorated, food was good, decor was well done, and there was an area for walking that was a bonus.
