The 120 all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Houston West/Energy Corridor provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for the long stay business or leisure traveler. The suites at this pet-friendly inn have separate living and sleeping areas and fully equipped kitchens. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, dinner and drinks at a manager’s reception on Monday through Wednesday evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The inn also provides a van service within a three-mile radius to nearby corporate offices, which include Citgo, The Shaw Group, Sysco, Shell, BP, Exxon-Mobil, Cardinal Health, and Conoco Phillips. Area landmarks and attractions include four golf courses, the NASA Space Center, the Lakeside Country Club, shopping at Memorial City Mall, West Oaks Malls and the Galleria, Minute Maid Park, home of Houston Astros and Reliant Park, home of the Houston Texans.

This inn gets great reviews from former clients who say the staff is super, the suites are spacious and the complimentary breakfast makes a great start to the day. There were some minor complaints that the swimming pool is not the largest in Texas, but those who made the comments had to admit they were not paying the prices that warranted an Olympic-sized pool. All of the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

This inn has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. The only meals served here are breakfast and the mid week light dinners at the manager’s reception. The inn offers a grocery shopping service and can arrange for area restaurants to deliver to the inn. From Houston/William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) 28 miles: From the Airport loop turn left on Airport Boulevard. (0.5 mi). Turn right on Telephone Road (TX-35) (1.3 miles). Continue on Reveille Street. (1.7 miles). Merge onto I-45 North (8 miles). Take left onto I-10. Follow I-10 for 15 miles and exit Eldridge Parkway. Turn left onto Eldridge and follow for 1.2 miles. The hotel is on the right. From Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) 32 miles: Follow JFK Boulevard (3.4 miles). Take Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8 West (2 miles). Exit I-45 South. Take I-10 West towards San Antonio (3 miles). Exit Eldridge Parkway (1.2 miles). Turn Left onto Eldridge Parkway. The hotel will be on the right.
