The 190 all-suites SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Medical Center Reliant Park provides quality accommodation at a reasonable price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. As its name implies the seven-story hotel is in the middle of the Texas Medical Center and close to Reliant Park, home of the Houston Texans. The non-smoking property is also a short drive from the Astrodome, Hermann Park Zoo, Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center and the city’s museum and theater districts. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, a morning newspaper, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has two meeting rooms for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 50 guests. The property has a 24-hour market on-site offering a full range of snacks, beverages and sundry items.

Several travelers say this is one of the best places to stay in Houston. The reason they like this property so well are the reasonable rates, clean, comfortable, spacious suites and employees who are professional and helpful. The addition of 32-inch flat screen televisions in all of the suites was anther plus factor. The hotel gets many repeat customers and that is a great recommendation. Several clients who spent more on full-service hotels in the city said in future they would return to this property and really enjoy the complimentary breakfast – something that was a $10 plus extra downtown. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Medical Center Reliant Park Accommodations

All the suites have a wet bar, refrigerator and microwave oven. Other features are a work desk with high-speed Internet access, telephone with voicemail, two 32-inch flat screen televisions with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.

Amenities offered

This hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several places to eat nearby including an Olive Garden, Pappasitos Mexican Restaurant and Fu’s Garden Restaurant. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. There is a full service business center, coin-operated laundry, valet-dry cleaning, vending machines and a gift shop and newsstand.

From Houston/William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) 15 miles: Go east on Airport Boulevard, take I-45 North to 610 West, exit Fannin. Turn right at Fannin. Left at Old Spanish Trail. Hotel is on the left, three blocks down. From Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH) 25 miles: Take 59 South to 288 South, exit Old Spanish Trail, right at Old Spanish Trail. Hotel is on the left two miles down.
