It's a good, clean hotel. Great for families and is in downtown Houston accessible to the highway, but does not have the view or sound of it.

The staff was overall very friendly. The gym, pool, and hot tub were clean.

Late checking out was only able to give me an extra hour and a half. I was hoping for 3.

Overall the hotel was very good. When you enter the elevator its hot and the halls were hot!

The staff and location were great.

The shower curtain did not close all the way and the bathroom door did not lock.

The 112-room Holiday Inn Express Downtown Convention Center is one block from the Toyota Center home of the Houston Rockets, and provides quality affordable accommodation for both business traveler and the vacationer. Items included with the room rate at this four-story hotel are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a hot breakfast buffet, in-room coffee and parking. The property is two blocks from the Houston Convention Center, Houstons biggest convention center. Other area landmarks and attractions include the University of Houston, Verizon Theater, Greenway Plaza, Reliant Park, the Texas Medical Center and shopping at The Galleria which is seven miles from the property.

This Holiday Inn Express is in a great location in downtown Houston and has a terrific team of employees full of helpful hints about dining, shopping and sightseeing. This is the opinion of several travelers to this Texas city who have had an enjoyable stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the rates competitive with the neighboring hotels. The property gets many repeat weekend clients who are here for concerts or professional ballgames at the nearby arenas.
