Excellent staff service! The front desk person even printed up directions to Ikea for me - she went above and beyond the call of duty.
My preference would be to have room service/maid service at a hotel

This hotel is a great value and has a great location. Amenities are not the best - such as no complementary shampoo - but the hotel is an overall great value.
Great location.
The room did not have a trash can and the hotel did not send me a trash can like they told me they would.

I have not yet been let down by the staff and the hotel overall. This hotel is the ultimate 2 star! I could live there and the friendly relationship they have with the Sheraton Suites is such a plus! Location is fantastic for the price!
Super clean and well maintained staff is great.
The late night security people are not very nice. Cranky would be the word. All of them - the woman, the man and the new security guy.

The suites come with a separate living area, fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave oven, stovetop, coffeemaker and cutlery and crockery, a work area with high-speed wireless Internet access with a $4.99 per-stay charge, two-line telephone with voicemail, television with cable news and movie channels, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. The front office is open from 7am until 11pm and can help with copy and fax services. Incoming mail, faxes and packages are delivered directly to guest rooms at the end of each business day. There is a guest laundry on-site. One full housekeeping service is provided for guests staying seven or more nights. Additional cleaning is available for a reasonable charge and towel exchange is available at the front desk for guests staying one to six nights. There are no meals served here but there are numerous restaurants nearby including Maggianos Little Italy, the Boudreaux Restaurant which specializes in Cajon cuisine and Pappasito's Cantina.

This Houston hotel offered great value according to many guests who have stayed at this Homestead property. Most clients appreciated the good location, close to shopping, restaurants, downtown and the freeways. The staff was very helpful, friendly, efficient and kind. Earlier complaints about the suites looking a little dated have stopped now that all the accommodation has been renovated. Having a kitchen for entertaining was a major plus for many travelers.
