We visited during the Christmas holidays and really enjoyed all the decorations both in the hotel and out the windows! The service and room was fantastic

Lowballs room price while nickling and diming you for other things. Parking is outrageous $25 day for unlimited in/out priveleges, or $16 single-time park. No free internet, $10 per day for hi-speed. No microwave or fridge in rooms. One of the lowest prices for the room though, so if you don't use these features, it may be still worth it. It was for us on this trip. Bedding is nice and plenty of pillows.

My friend and I totally enjoyed our stay at your facility. You have a great staff who took the time to learn our names and great us with a smile each time we came through the door.
Remodel Please - posted on 04/22/2007
Was not pleased with our stay at the Hyatt..I have stayed at 2 star hotels that were much nicer. The carpet...gross..lighting in the bathroom horrible...half the bulbs were burned out. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls..no fan in bathroom...Non smoking room had a musty odor..It is in desperate need of many updates/remodel...NOT A 4 STAR...
Not a 4 star hotel - posted on 04/16/2007
The lobby is impressive & the location is close to any place you need to get downtown. Our room was NOT all it was cracked up to be. The wall paper was old & bubbling up, you have to pay for local calls, there is not a fan in the bathrooms, the showers could use some remodeling (water mildew on the shower ceiling), the valet parking is $25/24 hours & very slow. I have stayed at Super 8 motels that are nicer & have more FREE amenities. Room service is over priced for what you get (19% gratuity added off the bat.) A huge disappointment for being part of the Hyatt family!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency. While not without some minor problems with the room, the staff made quick response and corrections, as well as amenities with the apology. Room service was too slow on our departing day, causing us to leave without breakfast, but overall a great stay!

As usual, the Hyatt deserves it's four stars. We only stayed one night, dining at the spindletop restaurant. Everything was just fine.

The Hyatt was extremely accomadating to the Lousianana families who had arrived with grandparents, children, pets..lots of pets...buslaods of seach and rescue teams. The staff was sensitive to the needs of all the guests during this trying time. It was nice to see the rules bent a little to help these folks in such a small way. Good for Hyatt!
