bad security - posted on 04/26/2007
The hotel it's self was a fine deal and a plesant stay. Till Sun. morning when I was going out to my jeep to leave. Someone had put an ice pick thru 3 of my tires. No security cameras in the parking garage. And I paid to park there.
Great Value - posted on 04/26/2007
Talk about convenient! I usually stay either in the Galleria or downtown but this is right in the middle. I can get to just about any place in Houston from here. The staff was very courteous and the hotel is very clean. The hotel could use an updating but it is still very nice. Great value for such a central location.
Bad hotel for family - posted on 02/14/2007
Heater did not work. And it took about 1 hour to tell me that. By that time it was already 11 p.m. Wireless internet did not work and its customer service did not pick up after 30 minutes and I finally had to hang up. Toilet was leaking, told them about it bu they didn't fix. Kept leaking ALL night long. Told them I needed a quite room but they tried to put me next to elevator and ice machine.... This is the worst hotel I have stayed in in Houston. Would not stay there even if they paid me. Not putting my family through that terrible experience.
Would not reccomend - posted on 01/16/2007
Valet staff not helpful if you are not using there service. Room smelled of mildew, lights and phone were not hooked up, tub was not clean, bathroom counter was chipped and had burn marks. Requested managers attention but got maintenance instead. Parking garage is unsafe. Appreciate the discount but there are other accommodations in the area for the same price.
Never go in winter - posted on 12/13/2006
AC is screwed up. Temperate never went above 65. Had to change 3 rooms to find a decent one where temperature was bearable. Never go in winter.
Good Hotel - posted on 06/14/2006
The hotel lobby was very nice, pool was moderate size, guest rooms need renovation...especially the beds which were not very comfortable. However, this is a good hotel for the money. Staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful!
Staff Training - posted on 06/06/2006
I don't know where they got those people but I would like to say this hotel will not last with that customer service.
Great Service - posted on 04/12/2006
From the time I checked in to an excellent dinner in the restaurant-everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Staff needs training - posted on 04/07/2006
Management should look in training staff in customer service. No one should put up with rude attitudes. Remember customers are spending there money and have other options in lodging.
No hot water - posted on 03/19/2006
Both days of stay, no hot water and the management did not want to do much to accomodate. So much for the Holiday Inn "We'll make it right."
5 Star Service - posted on 05/18/2005
I have lived out of hotels in Houston for five years. Usually I stay in 4 star hotels but this week I landed at the Holiday Inn. I was amazed that they offered free wireless. Today my laptop crashed and I had to get a loaner from work. The hotel provided me a wireless card for no charge.
Customer Service - posted on 05/07/2005
I stayed there for a 3-day weekend for a quilt festival and wanted the shuttle to take me to convention but they wanted to charge an extra 40 dollars. However, the convention provided shuttle services for free. The clerk didn't infomed me of thoses services.

The shuttle service is horrendously bad. I attempted four times to use the service, and every attempt translated to a bad experience. Hotel has three shuttles, but only one was active during my two day stay. The pool is very small, the hot tub even smaller (another guest put his foot through the hot tub deck due to rotting wood).Only decent aspect to the hotel are the clean, spacious rooms. Hotel has a free internet room, but only three computers.
Needs help - posted on 10/20/2004
The hotel is really okay except they could use a little maids training. Other annoyances are the charges for parking and for phone use.
