Customer Reviews for Sleep Inn Intercontinental Airport

Loved the convenience offered - posted on 05/03/2006

I enjoyed my night here. The staff were all very courteous as I arrived very late for an early flight (5:30am). I had my reservation and asked for a wake up call so I could get to the airport and get parking for my car and make the flight. The desk clerk courteously asked what I normally paid for parking and I told her I would be gone several days and parking averaged $6.00 a day. She told me that I could leave my car there and the parking would be a small additional charge. I was pleased and thought she meant daily. I was pleasantly surprized that my room and parking was less than I usually paid for room alone. The shuttle ran at 4:30 and though close I easily made my flight. Called the hotel and the shuttle picked me up within 15 minutes after my call on arrival. I will do this anytime I have to fly out of Houston as I live almost 4 hours from the airport. Everyone was courteous. The room, although small was very clean and lacked nothing that I needed. It will be my Houston Airport Adventure in the future as it made the trip far less stressful than usual.

Poor quality hotel - posted on 02/08/2006

The service is bad. The rooms are very small; no place to work with a laptop. The interent service is horrible there. The connection both dedicated cable and wireless drops and resets every 15 minutes. I reproted this to management as well as the ISP. I was there for 3 days and problem was never fixed.

Not recommended - posted on 11/08/2005

We were given a handicapped room and told that it was the last room in the hotel. What if a handicapped person had come in. I do not believe that handicapped rooms should be rented to non-handicapped people. Also, we asked the lady at the front desk where to go for a nice restaurant, some entertainment, etc. as we didn't know the city. She was not very helpful and needed some assistance at the front desk as there were plenty of people requiring her attention. The last thing was that neither ice machine worked. We noticed that the first floor ice machine was broken and asked the front desk lady if there was another one. She said "Yes, on the second floor." As we started up the stairs she informed us that "That one is broken too." All-in-all for a one night stay it was not very pleasant.

Katrina Survivor - posted on 09/21/2005

We stayed at your hotel after getting out of the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina hit. It was the first time we saw TV coverage of what was going on. We sat on the beds and watched in awe once we saw what happened outside of the French quarter where we were staying. Your hotel was a welcome departure from what we had been through in the days before. Many thanks!
