The pet-friendly TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston Central Northwest Freeway provides economically priced extended stay accommodation equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has 85 suites with full kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. The property is a short drive from both uptown and downtown Houston. Corporate offices nearby include the headquarters of Mustang Cat, Exxon-Mobil, Dresser Flow Solutions, International Paint and IKON. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area attractions include shopping at the Galleria Mall, the city’s museum district, the George R Brown Convention Center, Sam Houston Race Track and the Johnson Space Center.

Many visitors were pleased with the prices at this Marriott property and said it made a great alternative to the more expensive hotels downtown. The fully equipped kitchens enabled many longer stay guests to prepare home cooked meals and save on the cost of dining out. All the suites have separate living and sleeping areas and a work desk with high-speed Internet access. The kitchens come with a refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave oven, stovetop, coffeemaker, toaster and cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include cable television with movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.

The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but the hotel has a list of restaurants that will deliver to the property. There are numerous places to eat close by including TGI Friday's, Denny's, an Outback Steakhouse, Chili’s and a Starbucks Coffee. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. There is a coin-operated laundry, copy and fax services, valet dry-cleaning, vending machines and a picnic area with a barbecue grill.
