The hotel is located very conveniently to the Galleria area, and it has very easy access to the interstates without being too noisy. My room was average, but I was very disappointed with the bathroom plumbing. I also had a staff member intrude into my room without knocking or announcing himself on my last morning at 8 AM. Overall, I would say it's not what I expected for the price, but it did feel safe & it has the potential to be a very nice hotel.

The location was very convenient to the Galleria area.

The pet-friendly La Quinta Inn and Suites Houston Galleria is located just west of downtown Houston and comprises 173 quality rooms equally suitable for the business or pleasure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this six-story hotel are a Bright Side breakfast, in-room coffee, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls and parking. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 65 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the Texas Medical Center, the Greenway Plaza business district, Reliant Park, Minute Maid Park, Houstons theatre and museum districts, the George R. The cheerful crew of workers at this La Quinta was extremely helpful providing good advice about shopping and the best restaurants in the neighborhood. The rates compared well with neighboring properties and the rooms here are spacious, well-equipped and squeaky clean. Most guests said they would stay here again on future visits to Houston and had no problem recommending the property to fellow travelers.
