For the purpose of our stay, the hotel worked fine. They window view was not that pleasing but we really only needed a place to sleep and that was convenient to The Strand.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I forgot my son's pack n play to sleep in and they were nice enough to provide a crib for my son to sleep in.

We had an unattractive view of the roof. For the money I paid, I thought there would be a continental breakfast but they did not have one.

We had an excellent stay and didn't lack for anything. The front desk and staff were both friendly and helpful.

For my purposes it was the right price, the right place, and the right pace, easy!

Never found the pool towels.

We were only done in Galveston for one night but our stay was excellent. The hotel was located right on the beach and our room had an excellent view. We requested 2 queen beds view non-smoking. The hotel charged over extra $ for no reason. I called the hotel the next day when I saw it on my bank account and they said that they would fix the error. They did not even say what the charges were for, but when we first arrive to check in the lady at the front desk seemed more interested in chatting and joking around with her co-workers instead of checking us in quickly. Overall great stay and most likely we will return to the same hotel for another trip. We did wish that they offered a complimentary breakfast instead of charging for one in the restaurant though.

The hotel lobby, pool and facilities were beautiful and tropical.

The hotel mistakenly over charged my credit card.

The 178-room Holiday Inn On The Beach enjoys breathtaking beachfront views of the Gulf of Mexico and provides quality accommodation for both families on vacation and the business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this eight-story, full-service hotel are high-speed Internet access, in-room tea and coffee, a morning newspaper and parking. There are five meeting rooms available for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 200 guests. The property on Galveston Beach is close to many attractions including the Schlitterbahn Water Park, The Grand 1894 Opera House, the Bishops Palace, the historical Strand Shopping District and Texas A & M University.

This Holiday Inn gets top marks from visitors to Galveston Beach who stayed at this property. Families said there were plenty of things to do not only on the beach but within the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the rates affordable. The attentive crews of employees earned praise for insuring that everyone had a great vacation here. Those going on a cruise were able to leave their cars at the property at no charge and the hotel even provided transportation to the nearby Port of Galveston.
