not too suite - posted on 03/30/2007
Had a "tower suite" room which was neither. Couldn't get receptionist to help me choose a room -wanted something "very quiet". Given one right next to lobby and parking lot. Was moved upon request though. Not a bad room, but considering it was one of the MOST EXPENSIVE rooms in entire city I expected a lot more. Like a TV that worked well. And at least one pillow that wasn't the consistency of a rosin bag. And a shower with ample water pressure that didn't fluctuate repeatedly between 70-170 degrees. Staff did discount my bill for the shower though.

From the time we arrived till the time we left, nothing went right. Reserved a non-smoking room 4 months prior to our stay and when we arrived, yep a smoking room. Nothing could be done and nobody was nice about it, it was "oh well", too bad. Could find another room in town, so we were stuck and they new it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

I think that the location is its strong point. I arrived late and was able to have a late evening dinner. I would encourage anyone to stay there - staff, room and shuttle service was excellent. I didn't give it a #5 because we all have room for improvement; however, presently I don't think this hotel needs any.

OLDER HILTON LOCATED ON HILL THAT OVERLOOKS THE ORGAN MTS..which would be spectacular if not for the sprawl that is developing on the east side of the HILTON. Hotel is dated but is priced accordingly....probably a wonderful place in it's heyday as it was one of the first HIltons...do get a top floor room
Not great - posted on 12/20/2005
This hotel is ageing and in need of renovation. Despite being nearly deserted, we were not allowed to change rooms, and the air conditioning unit needed servicing as it was VERY loud. Also, the two ice machines did not work.

This hotel was disgustingly dirty. I am a Gold with Hilton Honors and my 'upgraded' room had a something splattered on the walls. the carpet was dirty and smelled. one of the beds had a metal bracket for the bed poking out from the underneath of the bedskirt and my daughter not seeing that ran right into it. when I contacted the staff at the front desk, I received a unempathetic, smiley, "sorry for that".

We had a very bad experience in the restaurant. We waited for 35 minutes to be served breakfast. Apparently, there was only one cook on duty, and he was cooking for a crowd of 30. We did use our coupons for a free breakfast, but my husband ordered more than the value of them, and we thought a nice gesture would have been to comp the entire meal, since the wait was so long. The waiter was very understanding and did a good job. His name is Miguel.
