years ago the anatole wes condidered one of dallas's better hotels. my how things have changed! the lobby smells of mold, the desk help was young and inexperienced, our floor smelled like a steak house, our bathroom had old paint on the shower tiles and on the dirty marble vanity. the air did not work and the bedding was moldy!!!

Elevators!!!!! - posted on 04/16/2007

Supposedly 6 elevators available, however, at a certain point during our visit, only 2 elevators were running and 1 of those was designated as an 'EXPRESS' elevator for a private function being held on an upper floor. I guess my money is not as important as the others that were there. My girlfriends and I were insulted by this and very frustrated. No apology or resolution offered by management.

Best Hotel in Dallas - posted on 12/28/2006

I was there for a Women's Conference. I was impressed with the round the clock housekeeping. Ladies room was always clean & well stocked. The service was excellent. Lots of smiling faces.

Bravo for all the accommodations that this hotel has!! Something for everyone. We were booked for a family reunion and the facilities were awesome! The room, pool and fitness center was excellent. Should fore warn that its a bit pricey if you are traveling with children, there is nothing free at this hotel. Also, no fridge or microwave in room for those late nite munchies! Thumbs up for the different adult atmospheres in the hotel from many lounges, the sports bar to the disco and the 27th floor view from the Nana lounge!

great stay - posted on 03/14/2006

We have stayed twice and love it! The rooms are beautiful, the walking gardens are great. Restaurants are pricey but excellent. Maid service is sketchy, though

On a Large Scale - posted on 07/08/2005

The hotel is not the Ritz, but its size and bar / resturaunt make it a must stay. There are great walking gardens out back and the bar on the top floor over looks Dallas while live jazz plays. The size is remanicent of Las Vegas, and the art work is that of a museum. For hotel lovers it is a must stay.

Wear your hiking boots! - posted on 05/25/2005

This hotel is huge! It can be very confusing...knowing which tower you are staying, where the restaurants are, etc. I attended a conference and when I checked in after 3:00 with fellow employees, only my room was ready. The rooms are large and the laundry and room service are great!

poor customer service - posted on 05/03/2005

The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. They had two false fire alarms and then one real fire in a business office. Also you have to pay for extras like the fitness facility. I did think the room was nice, but there are plenty of nice hotels in Dallas where the staff is nice.

The front desk staff was very rude. Eveyone acted as though they were in some big hurry and didn't want to take the time to assist anyone. The food was not good, typical "hotel" food. Expensive. Not worth the money.
