Over all good experience. Probably won't stay there again. The one I wanted to stay in was already booked.

All in all, I guess I couldn't say it was an awful trip. It just seemed like the hotel was old and not well taken care of. Usually Holiday Inn's are nice. This one was an exception. The restaurant was awful. Not a great menu, it seemed dirty, I had floaties in my glass and the restaurant staff seemed like it was all of their first days or something.

Hey, at least it was right on the beach.

It just seemed old and run down. Needs a remodel. Bad!

The 149-room Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort North Padre Island is directly on the Gulf of Mexico and provides vacationers with affordable quality accommodation. Some of the rooms at this five-story resort have balconies overlooking the beach and ocean. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room coffee and tea and parking. There are three meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 125 guests. Area attractions include fishing from the from Bob Hall pier, kayaking around Packery Channel, surfing at J. P. Luby Park and boating around Bird Island.

The location directly on the beach is one of the major attractions of this Holiday Inn resort. The rooms here are well equipped, comfortable and squeaky clean. There are plenty of activities for younger family to enjoy during the summer and the efficient and friendly team of employees has good advice about the area sights and the best places to shop and dine. There were some minor moans that the property is starting to show its age but that wont stop many families from returning here for a fun summer vacation.
