We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. We would recommend this hotel to visitors to burnet, Texas.

It was a clean hotel with friendly staff. We were pleased with our stay.

I like the fact that the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows. The price was fair, the rooms and baths were clean and the A/C worked like it should. There is a microwave and a fridge for convenient. It was all we need for just an over night stay.

The people were friendly. The A/C worked. It was clean. The price was fair. It was convenient.

The cokes were priced to high. The check out time is to soon from the check in time.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were a group of nine and liked the connecting rooms that are children, could go back and forth as they pleased.

The 76-room Highland Lakes Hotel is just steps away from the Riverwalk in the Texas Highland Lakes Area. This was the Holiday Inn Express in Burnet before it became the Highland Lakes Hotel. It sneaks in with a YES rating since there were travelers who said the hotel was just what they needed. The rates were affordable and the staff was very friendly. The rooms and public area were spotlessly clean. There were complaints that the landscaped grounds were looking unkempt and in need of some TLC. There were several clients who complained that the complimentary breakfast was not appealing. There was never any fruit, the bagels were stale and the items that should have been hot were cold and those things that should have been cold were warm, including the milk and orange juice.
