The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Austin North comprises 88 one and two bedroom suites designed for the extended stay business client and families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is located next to the corporate offices of Tech Ridge, Dell World Headquarters, Samsung and Applied Materials. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception with a light meal, beer, wine and sodas on Monday through Thursday evenings, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 30 guests. The hotel is close to the Round Rock Outlet shopping areas, the University of Texas, Zilker Park, Lake Travis and the State Capitol. There are four golf courses within a 10 miles radius of the property.

Several visitors to this Residence Inn said it offered great value for money and the staff were friendly and took care of problems quickly – and with a smile. Families who stayed in the two-bedroom suites said the accommodation was spacious and the kitchens were well equipped. Many guests said the complimentary Korean breakfast, which was offered on Friday mornings, was enjoyable and suited both visiting Korean executives as well as U.S. families. All of the suites have a fireplace and a kitchen with a conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board. Video games and players are available for rent.

This inn has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, fitness center and a sports court. The only meals served here are breakfast and the light dinners at the mid week manager’s reception. The inn offers a grocery shopping service and has a list of restaurants that will deliver to the property. There are several restaurants nearby including a Bennigans, the Koreana, the Cool River Steakhouse and the Pei Wei Chinese restaurant. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include fax and copy services, a coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning, vending machines, a picnic area with a barbecue grill and a gift shop and newsstand.

From Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) 20 miles: Take a left out of the airport onto highway 71 west. Take a right on highway 183 north. Head north on I-35 and exit Yager / Parmer Lane, #244. Take frontage road straight ahead to Parmer Lane. Take a left on Parmer Lane. Take an immediate left onto frontage road. Turn right into the first parking lot. Hotel is clearly visible on the right.
