Omni Austin Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. Guests are steps away from the Austin Convention Center and Texas State Capital. The hotel has 292 spacious guest rooms, 46 club rooms, 18 one-bedroom suites and 19 two-bedroom suites that offer guests a beautiful view of the city's skyline or hotel atrium. Guests have a choice of dining options. Specializing in southwestern cuisine Ancho’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Atrium Lounge is the perfect place for a business gathering or enjoying the company of friends. Morsel's coffee shop is open on weekdays. Room service is available. The hotel has 16 meeting rooms and a ballroom that are available for business conferences and weddings. As one of Austin's convention center hotels, full business services are available. Special hotel packages are available.

Guests have enjoyed their stay at the Austin Omni hotel however they feel it is more a three star than four star hotel. The hotel and rooms are all beautiful and clean. The location is superb, however on the weekends the hotel can become a bit of a party hotel as it is close to 6th street and college students load up in the rooms. Guests state the restaurant and bar food is good. However be prepared to pay for every little extra in the hotel. Business travelers have indicated that you can stay at other hotels in Austin that do not charge for every service. Read our customer reviews?

Omni Austin Hotel Downtown Accommodations

The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown provides guests with speciality shopping, including H. Stern Jewelers, a nail salon and car rental. The hotel has a full fitness center and in room fitness is also available. The roof is home to a beautiful heated pool. Spa services include massage therapy and body packages. Guests may enjoy relaxing in the whirlpool and spa. The hotel has an ATM and check cashing services are avaiilable. For foreign travelers translation services are available. Same day laundry and drycleaning is provided. Horse carriage rides can be arranged.

Guests have the choice of deluxe rooms which offer 329 square feet of living space and include one king or two double beds, Omni Club Rooms are on private access level floors and include one king or two double beds and have high ceilings with crown molding. Guests staying on this level enjoy nightly turndown service, complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour during select hours. For those that like to exercise in the privacy of their rooom, Get Fit Guest Rooms have a motorized portable treadmill, a Get Fit Kit and healthy snacks in the refreshment center. Executive One-Bedroom Suites give guests 1,000 square feet of living space, a separate bedroom with either one king or queen bed, large living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. These room are on a private access level. Executive Two-Bedroom Suites offer guests 1,400 square feet of living space with two separate bedrooms, a large living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. All rooms have a full stocked mini bar, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and coffee maker. Guests can start the morning off in the plush bathrobe reading a complimentary copy of the newspaper. Internet access is available in all rooms.

Exit 7th Street and follow 3 miles to IH35. At IH35 turn right onto access road. Take immediate left going under IH35 onto 8th Street. Go 3 blocks to 8th Street and San Jacinto. Cross San Jacinto and the hotel entrance is on the left. FROM THE EAST, HOUSTON – USING HIGHWAY 290 WEST Take 290 West. Once in Austin, take IH-35 south ramp to downtown. Exit 8th Street. Turn right on 8th Street. Continue 3 blocks on 8th Street to San Jacinto. Cross San Jacinto and the hotel entrance is on the left. FROM THE EAST, HOUSTON – USING HIGHWAY 71 Take Highway 71 West to I-35 North. Once downtown, take the 6th-12th Street exit. Turn left under I-35 8th Street. Continue 3 blocks on 8th Street to San Jacinto. Cross San Jacinto and the hotel entrance is on the left. FROM THE WEST – USING LOOP 1 SOUTH Exit 5th Street (will loop back under highway). Follow 5th Street to Trinity. Turn left on Trinity. Turn left on 8th Street. The hotel entrance is a few blocks up on the left. FROM THE WEST – USING LOOP 1 NORTH Exit 5th Street and stay in the left lane. Yield right onto 5th Street. Take 5th Street to Trinity. Turn left on Trinity. Turn left onto 8th Street. The hotel entrance is a few blocks up on the left.
