The 106-room Courtyard by Marriott Austin South provides economically priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is located close to I-35 and is a 10-minute drive from Austin Bergstrom Airport. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is a short distance from the State Capitol and Convention Center. Corporate offices close to the property include Tokyo Electron, Advanced Micro Devices, Sematech, and Applied Materials. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 40 guests. The hotel is a short drive from the River Side Golf Course and the Jimmy Clay/Roy Kizer Golf Course.

Many former clients at this Courtyard were impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the employees and the reasonable rates. Some clients were bothered by the noise from the nearby airport and others were disappointed with the breakfast, which they thought was overpriced. Those who stayed here for several nights found plenty of places to eat nearby and saved on the Courtyard Café cost. Courtyard by Marriott Austin South Accommodations

All the rooms, and four suites, have a large work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and two telephones with voicemail and speakerphone. The bathtubs have spray jets and some rooms have the added benefit of a refrigerator.

This hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. The Courtyard Café serves breakfast and the on-site Allie’s American Grill is open for lunch and dinner. Room service is available from 11am until 11pm. Places to eat nearby include a Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, Rockfish Seafood Grill and the Texas Land and Cattle Company. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, full service business center, valet dry-cleaning and vending machines.
