It’s nice to know that places like Arlington still exist. This city is jammed pack full of family fun, country dancing and great places to eat. And you get to experience it all with true Southern hospitality.
Home to the very first Six Flags theme park, you’ll absolutely love the rides and thrills it has to offer. On a hot and sunny day, or if you’re just a water-lover, head over to Hurricane Harbor for the best water rides around.
The Cowboys Dancehall is a definite must. Featuring a 3,500 sq foot dance floor, I think that’s called Texas-size, you’ll love the music and see how Country dancing should really be done. And if you don’t know how, they offer lessons on certain days. Sunday nights are reserved for the Young Guns, 20 and under.
Arlington is chalked full of history and home to some great museums. Saunter through the Frontier Gallery, a unique western art gallery that showcases limited-edition prints, sculptures, western memorabilia and more. It’s also a proud licensee of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.
And if the rides, line dancing and museums aren’t calling you, the many golf courses just might. One of the great courses available is the Chester W. Ditto Golf Course. It’s an 18-hole, par 72, course featuring Bermuda grass fairways and Bermuda grass greens and also offers a driving range, putting green and rentals. Arlington is proud to offer you lots of great ways to create fun memories and provide it all with that Southern style.
