Scarry Place tp Stay - posted on 03/20/2007

The room was dirty and stunk. The telephone and tv would not work. A pizza delivery guy kept trying to get in the door. Noisy. Carpet was dirty and stuck to the bottom of my shoes. I was scared the whole time I was there. The sheets and bed spread had cigarette holes, and blood was on the sofa. I was happy to go to another place.

Great Price, Great Service - posted on 02/06/2007

It was a day of bad weather in Amarillo and the main highways closing down. There was a power failure too. But the Hotel staff was very pleasant and friendly even under such stressful circumstance. the price too was great. the room was comfortable, all in all a very pleasant experience

PLEASED - posted on 12/17/2006

I had stayed in one of the back rooms before and that was scary & room was BAD. This time we were on the 3rd floor. Everything was great! TV didn't work so a repair man was sent up immediately. Very clean. This stay was much, much better than the first time. Am looking forward to the next stay.

HORRIBLE - posted on 07/19/2006

Not enough space to allow for full effect. Room dirty, doors don't work right, wallpaper peeling, cigarette burns, noisy drunks that clerks won't help with, nasty pool, wireless internet wouldn't work at all, sauna didn't work, rude night clerk, shower went from hot to cold on it's own, whole place had bad smell to it, tiny TV, lots more.

Apace will not permit me to write a thorough review. But if you are looking for rude service and a terrible night's sleep in a flea bag, this is the place for you!

Nasty Hotel - posted on 05/26/2005

We had stayed here before and were SO disappointed at how bad it had become! They couldn't find our reservation and were rude about it, The room had peeling paint, the two beds were a king and a double that had been pushed into the room in a corner. The room and elevator had a bad smell and when we went for a "made-to-order" breakfast, he handed us a plate of eggs that weren't fried of scrambled, just scraped off the grill! Not worth any money!!

Dirty rooms - posted on 04/14/2005

The staff was good. The rooms were dirty. There was no hot water when we got there and we were not told about it when we checked in. Other guests were walking around smoking and throwing cigarette butts on the ground and they were left there even around the pool and jacuzzi area. The cigarette butts were still laying in the same spots when we checked out the next day. There was no evening management.

Very Happy!!! - posted on 04/12/2005

Our reservations at another hotel were lost and we had to find something quick. With all the talk I heard I was sure I would not be happy with this hotel but they were the only ones with vacancies. We had a wonderful room with great dining in the evening and a great breakfast to end our stay. To top it all off they have a complete coutry and western barn in the hotel and there was a band playing that night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rundown - posted on 09/13/2004

The rooms were run down - wallpaper peeling, toilet insides needed replacing and/or repair--continued to run because they wouldn't hold water. Leaky faucets. some TV's didn't work at all. I had to get three rooms before I found one that I would take. Then, once I finally did move into the third one, the front desk sold it twice--once in the middle of the night and again the next morning. I had people show up with keys trying to get in. Good thing I was in the room or some of my belongings might have disappeared! The room I did stay in was on the second floor over the restaurant/karaoke bar. At 1:00 am I could still hear the music and the noise from the bar in my room. For the first 2.5 days of my 5- night stay, the front desk kept programming my key to expire at 11 pm every night. This was very inconvenient because I was usually carrying quite a bit of stuff up stairs to my room and then I'd have to back down stairs to the desk to get it fixed. Also, the TV cable service was really minimal and did not even include the local ABC or NBC affiliate stations!
