This hotel, which turned out to be a Quality Inn rather then Comfort Inn.

Very clean, very spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds. Quiet.

We needed a hotel along the interstate, close to Amarillo Airport for a cross-country tour. The hotels near the airport were scary looking. This was about 4 miles west of AMA and right off of I-40. Outside was a bit dated but the rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Bring a LAN cable for high speed internet. Our room stay met our needs for the night.

Clean room, convenient to interstate. Very friendly staff. Good price.

Too convenient to interstate. Could hear traffic when AC or TV was not on.

Although the Quality Inn East is a chain hotel it is presented with a desert inspired character of its own. Vacationers can gather by the fireplace in the lobby to plan out their trip to nearby attractions while sitting on comfortable living furniture. Also being at such a centralized location one can dive right into local attractions, the closest of which is the Amarillo Museum of Art. Visiting kids can be taken to the Wonderland amusement park or for an educational experience, to the Amarillo Zoo or Don Harrington Discovery Center. For a more easy going time, guests can also use free wireless internet to research nearby shopping areas and eateries.

This hotel may be on the older side, but it is kept in very clean and sleek shape. Its centralized location is ideal for business and leisure travelers alike, and the staff is more than willing to help any guest find their way. The guestrooms offered do show signs of wear and tear throughout, but they are adequate for a place to spend the night. Also, picky sleepers may find the pillows to be rather stiff as they are quite old. As for the free breakfast, it offers a nice selection of hot and cold items that are sure to attract all tastes and diets.
