Our say was great. It was very clean and family friendly. At the time of booking the room it was rated 2 1/2 stars (the best for Amarillo area). We feel that it was way under rated. We recommend staying at the residence inn to anyone that will be visiting the Amarillo area.

Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful.

The hotel document stated that the laundry room was open 24hrs, but it was not.

The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Amarillo Marriott is just minutes away from historic Route 66 and provides extended stay accommodation equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has 78 suites with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a mangers reception on midweek evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has easy access to the Harrington Regional Medical Center. Corporate offices close to the hotel include Bell Helicopter/Textron, Boeing, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, BWXT Pantex, Owens-Corning and Xcel Energy. Area landmarks and attractions include four golf courses, Palo Duro Canyon, American Quarter Horse Heritage Center and Museum, Amarillo Botanical Gardens, Cadillac Ranch and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.

This Residence Inn gets many repeat visitors, which is always a good recommendation. The reasons they return are the convenient access to the expressway system, spacious suites and a team of helpful and efficient employees. Pet lovers like the location near to cycling and jogging trails where they can take the family pooch for a morning and evening walk. There were some gripes about the prices being high. Despite this, most travelers say they will use this inn on future visits to Amarillo and have no hesitation in recommending the property to others.
