Conveniently located near regional airports, local businesses and historic attractions, this Abilene, Texas hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Buffalo Gap Historic Village, Dyess AF Base Linear Air Park, Grace Cultural Center, Taylor County Expo Center, the Abilene Civic Center, Fort Phantom Hill, Camp Barkeley, Frontier Texas, the Abilene Zoo and Frontier Texas. Don't forget the Golf Clubs, this hotel is close enough to enjoy the Maxwell Municipal Golf Course, Diamondback Golf Course, Fairway Oaks Country Club, Abilene Country Club, Shady Oaks Golf Course and Tangle Oaks Golf Course. There are also plenty of other local recreation opportunities, like court sports, hiking and bicycle trails.

The Fairfield Inn by Marriott Abilene is in a great location. Previous guests appreciated the friendly staff in the restaurant, at the front desk and even the housekeepers. Other guests mentioned that the hotel had bugs, one guest mentioned having seen a cockroach and a spider. Guests also indicated lazy cleaning jobs, filth under chair cushions and dirty walls. Travelers at this Fairfield didn't feel it was kept up to Fairfield's standards and were annoyed that their shampoo wasn't replaced and that the beds weren't made until the late afternoon.
