The room next to the lobby was noisy, so we requested another room and were immediately accommodated. The room was spacious and quiet and overlooked a pretty pond with fountain. Although there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, there was no microwave in the breakfast area for items such as oatmeal, grits, heating boiled eggs, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It was quiet and clean.

The complimentary breakfast was a little disappointing. No microwave.

The pet-friendly Comfort Inn West is located in Sweetwater surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and comprises 54 rooms. The two-story motel is located between Knoxville and Chattanooga and is four miles from the Lost Sea, America's largest underground lake. Items included with the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a copy of USA Today and TV Guide, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area landmarks and attractions include several golf courses, the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap which has 318 curves in 11 miles, the Cherohala Skyway, Sequoyah Birthplace Museum and Fort Loudoun State Park.

This Comfort Inn gets mixed reviews from travelers to Sweetwater who have stayed here. Several guests complained it do not live up to normal Comfort Inn standards. However we still give the property a YES rating because there were sufficient guests who enjoyed their visit. They liked the location, in a quieter area and close to Interstate 75, and found the employees very helpful and friendly. These guests said they would use the property again while others said they would look for another Choice Hotel the next time they came to town.
