The only negative were 2 waitresses one was rude and wouldn't give me coffee when I was first seated and in the bar area a waitress was very very slow with bringing drinks.

Starbucks didn't open early enough in the lobby. Restaurant staff was very friendly though. I was not happy that I couldn't get a non smoking room. They did offer to ionize it, but that really wouldn't have done anything. The entire floor reeked of smoke.

The renaissance was 4 stars, but the value was just a little less than we expected. While the lobby is nice, we have to wonder why police check people entering and leaving. The guests seemed upscale, consistent with hotel level. Our room was cozy and well appointed, but for the price we would prefer to see better toiletries, a better bathroom, a better TV, a more spacious desk, .

The bedding and pillows was very comfortable 4 stars.

Bland floors with mediocre decoration.

The 649-room Renaissance Nashville Hotel is walking distance of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price for the upmarket business and pleasure traveler. Many regular visitors to Nashville rate this as the best place to stay in town. It is not the most expensive but the rooms and public areas have been renovated to a high standard. The location is great, connected to the convention center and within walking distance to many of Nashvilles major attractions. Several clients said the employees here knew all about southern hospitality and they were surprised how friendly the hotel was despite its mammoth 25 stories.
