What a mistake!!! - posted on 05/10/2007
This hotel is in the middle of the worst crime-ridden neighborhood in Memphis. The bed was as old as my grandmother and the mattress wobbled like a trampoline. I honestly felt afraid for my safety here, especially after dark. We booked for three nights but only stayed one. Do NOT stay here unless it's a last resort.

The wind must have shifted after we checked in.. Airplane takeoffs became noticable after 10pm,,, very very noisy.

This has to be the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in. The room was filthy. The carpet needs to be changed. The furniture is old and very scratched. The dresser has handles missing and hanging off of the drawers. The shower curtain was mildewed. The room needs to be painted and the beds are terrible.

I was disappointed in the things in the room. No clock, no dryer, no fridge, no microwave, no kleenex. It was fairly clean and I guess we got what we paid for, but I felt there were small things that would have made it homier.Also, the towels and wash cloths were paper thin.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the price is right. BUT.. it is run down and in need of a lot of maintenance.

Our room was filthy. The carpets had only been swept in the walk areas, the sheets didn't cover the mattress and had cigarette burns. The faucet handle fell off every time the sink was turned on. The towels had black flakes on them. The shower was moldy and the room had a terrible odor. If you want to sleep comfortably, this is not the place to stay. I never took my shoes off and didn't touch anything.

This room was disgusting!There was what appeared to be stains on the lampshades, the bathtub was ringed with cigarette burns. The door was rusty and there was no smoke detector. The cold water didn't work and the hot came out brown. The floor was dirty. Everything about it was miserable!
