The 319-room Marriott Memphis East provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price for the upmarket business or leisure traveler. The 14-story, non-smoking hotel has 15 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the Cotillion Ballroom can accommodate 800 guests. This full-service hotel has six concierge levels where clients receive additional amenities and facilities. Area landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, the entertainment area of Beale Street, the Cannon Center for Performing Arts, casinos, Graceland, the Memphis Zoo, the Mississippi Riverfront and River Museum, the Memphis Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium, the National Civil Rights Museum, Memphis Botanic Garden and the Memphis Queen Line Riverboats.

Many travelers who stayed at this Marriott said the location, in a quiet, safe neighborhood, was good and the prices were reasonable for the large spacious rooms. Several clients were unhappy with the dining but there were plenty of places to eat nearby. All the guestrooms, and four suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, Internet browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bathrobes and telephone with voicemail. Video games and players are available for rent.

The hotel’s Blue Shoe Bar and Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service is available from 6am until midnight. Restaurants a short drive away include a Chili’s, Corky’s barbecue, an IHOP, PF Chang’s China Bistro and Folks Folly Steakhouse. There is an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes. Other amenities include a concierge desk, full service business center, coin-operated laundry, valet dry cleaning, vending machines, games room, an ATM and a gift shop and newsstand.
