The 354-room Marriott Knoxville is a pyramid-shaped full-service hotel overlooking the Tennessee River, providing quality accommodation at affordable prices for both the business and leisure traveler. The 11-story, non-smoking property is connected to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum by a covered walkway. The hotel has 18 meeting rooms for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 1,000 guests. The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is next door to the property. The hotel is a mile from of the University of Tennessee and the historical district, 45 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and 20 minutes from the McGhee Tyson Airport.

This Marriott hotel gets top marks for top quality and very reasonable rates. Frequent business travelers to Knoxville say this is the best place to stay, especially if you can get a room with a balcony overlooking the city. Many shunned the rooms that overlook the eight-story atrium. Clients who dined here said the food and service was excellent even if it was a little pricey. Families on vacation appreciated the location within walking distance of the Tennessee Riverfront and the Star of Knoxville Riverboat.

All the guestrooms, and 24 suites, have a well-lit work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, refrigerator, wet bar, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, pullout sofa bed, iron and ironing board, and IDD telephone with voicemail. The bathrooms have a hairdryer, bathrobes and a separate shower and bathtub.

Dining options are the Hill Street Café, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Legends Field Sports Bar open for lunch and dinner. Room service is available from 6am until 11pm and there are several restaurants within walking distance. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool and fitness center. Other amenities include a business center, car rental desk, concierge desk, picnic area with a barbecue grill, vending machines, barber and beauty salon and a gift shop and newsstand.

From Knoxville Airport (TYS) 15 miles: Take Highway 129 North to Neyland Drive Exit. Turn left onto Neyland Drive. Take the Hill Avenue exit. At the stop light, turn right onto Hill Avenue. Turn right onto Hall of Fame Drive. The hotel is on the left, just past Suntrust Bank.
