The 101-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Knoxville provides budget priced accommodation suitable for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking inn is located close to I-40, minutes from downtown Knoxville, the University of Tennessee and the Knoxville Zoo. Low rates and a high level of service: Many former visitors to this inn remember these two items about their stay in Knoxville. The staff got good reviews for being friendly and helpful, particularly when it came to advice on what to see and where to eat. Words of warning about the breakfast buffet: If the hotel is full, which it often is, get to the breakfast area early before the crowds. Get there late and you may not get a seat and the line at the waffle make will delay your departure.
