Comfort Inn on the River offers an assortment of guestrooms, all of which feature beautiful balconies that overlook the river. Outdoor enthusiasts will also find this site to be the ideal jumping point for discovering the natural wonder of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hotel’s location in downtown also enables easy access to such attractions as skiing, a variety of shopping opportunities, amusement parks and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum. Before heading out each morning, guests can swing by the breakfast nook to fill up on a free continental breakfast.

Although the accommodations are rather small and face a road that gets noisy from time to time, they hold pleasant views from their balconies. Also, the hotel in general is in need of a makeover as the decor looks dated and quite uninspired. Despite its poorly appearance, it is kept clean by a very friendly staff.
