The restaurant is good, the surroundings are neat with all the memorabilia, but I would have been very upset to have paid the full price.

Lots of history and the kids loved the setting. Kids ate free which was great. Free trolley left from hotel to take us to nicer part of downtown, but this hotel was not the the best location.

The 23-acre Chattanooga-Choo Choo complex is a 363-room restored hotel resort in the center of Chattanooga designed for individual travelers and business and social groups. The hotel is one of few pet-friendly hotels in downtown Chattanooga and has a dog walk area, located between Hotel Two and Hotel Three, with grassy, spacious areas to exercise and play. Area landmarks and attractions include the Tennessee Aquarium, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Tennessee Temple University, Camp Jordan sports and recreation facility, Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park, the Creative Discovery Museum, Ruby Falls and Rock City at Lookout Mountain and shopping at Warehouse Row or the Hamilton Place shopping mall, the largest retail complex in Tennessee.

There is a choice of accommodation here: The 48 Victorian train cars have a queen size bed and high-speed Internet access and some also have a daybed with a pull out trundle bed. The standard rooms in the three hotel buildings have a work area with wireless high-speed Internet access, a coffee maker, hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, and a telephone with voicemail. Non-smoking rooms and connecting rooms are available. There is also a full range of luxury suites.

Train buffs loved this place. Those who stayed on one of the Victorian train cars were impressed by the comfortable beds and the modern-day Internet access. The complex gives a full range of activities and most visitors who stayed here said they will return and recommend the property to others. Sadly there were some clients, in the minority, who said things could have been better and theyll be looking for a regular hotel the next time they come to Chattanooga.
