I got this hotel for $69...it was clean and comfortable and close to places to eat in Athens.....

Comfortable beds and pillows.

Walked in, my room wasn't ready yet. (And I wasn't terribly early either). They fixed immediately and gave me a huge upgrade free! Staff was super courteous and the room was super clean! The most people I saw staying there were business clientele. Walls are nicely sound proof, trust me! I went there to meet with my fianc? halfway between our living spaces and spend the weekend there together. We are doing it again at that same hotel soon! Can't wait!

Privacy! Was able to turn up TV loud and didn't bother anyone else and likewise wasn't bothered!

The only thing not to like is that it isn't really near anything cool to do. But who cares!

The 64-room Holiday Inn Express Athens is located off I-75 between Knoxville and Chattanooga and provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both vacationer and business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this three-story, non-smoking hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and parking. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 40 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the Smokey Mountain Cherahola Skyway, the Dragon Back boasting more hairpin turns than any other 13 mile stretch of road in the US, Tennessee Wesleyan College, Strikers Winery, the McMinn Co. Living Heritage Museum and the Waupaca Foundry.
