Overall the hotel was on par with other Hampton Inns but the location of the room, size of room and bed, and minor oversights.

Very convenient to I-26. Rooms have been renovated and the beds are very comfortable, especially for the price paid. They had free WIFI throughout the hotel, and the continental breakfast and eating area were nice.

All in all I was pleased by friendliness of all staff members. Facility seemed to be efficient in check-in and request for information was given in caring manner of helpfulness.

Continental breakfast was very good.

Lobby driveway was crowded by hotel van.

The 120-room Hampton Inn Columbia Airport is a five-minute ride from the Columbia Metro Airport and provides quality affordable accommodation equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet or breakfast to-go bag, high-speed Internet access, in-room coffee and parking. The property is close to downtown and near several shopping malls. Other area attractions and landmarks include the Monet collection at the Columbia Museum of Art, the Columbia City Ballet, the South Carolina Statehouse, featuring a copper dome and bronze stars marking where General Sherman's cannonballs struck and the South Carolina State Museum.

This Hampton Inn has been remodeled and has become the best place to stay in West Columbia. That is the opinion of several clients who have stayed here and they were very impressed the southern hospitality shown by the efficient team of employees. Many guests approved of the new furniture and fittings particularly the flat panel televisions and they have no problem recommending this property to fellow travelers.
