This 132-room property is now The Howard Johnson Inn – Airport North Charleston and is located one-half mile from Charleston International Airport and close to historic downtown Charleston. The South Carolina property caters for the budget traveler. Free items here include high-speed Internet access, a continental breakfast and parking. There are meeting and banquet facilities on-site to cater for groups up to 200 people. Many area attractions are within easy driving distance including the South Carolina Aquarium, IMAX Theater, Patriot's Point, The Coliseum, Riverfront, Magnolia Plantation and the Performing Arts Center.

This property is in need of renovation or rebuilding. It was impossible to find one complimentary review on this motel. The best anyone could say was they watched a fine firework display from their room. The prices and location are right but the accommodation and public areas need a major refurbishment. Several of those who stayed here said the only solution would be to demolish the building and start again. Maybe that will happen and the no will become a yes. Americas Best Inn & Suites Accommodations

The air conditioned rooms come with a choice of two double beds or one king size bed. Amenities included are free Internet access, cable TV, IDD telephone, coffee maker, hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are available in some rooms.

The hotel has a fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool which is open during the warmer months. The free continental breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous eating places nearby. There are ice machines on the property and the 24-hour front desk has information on all the local attractions. There are several golf courses within easy driving distance and some of the islands and beaches of South Carolina are a thirty minute drive away.
