Hampton Inn Charleston North is situated off of Interstate 26, just north of the airport and is surrounded by major attractions, including the Charleston Convention and Performing Arts Centers and the Coliseum. Serious shoppers will appreciate being near a number of worthwhile outlets. All guests who stay here can start their days by indulging in a free hot breakfast spread, reading a free newspaper and tapping into the wireless high-speed internet that is available throughout the property. In a rush? Pick up a to-go bag. The front desk is of service 24-hours, enabling late night express check-out and watching over a safe deposit box.

The property is noticeably old and worn out in several areas. Accommodations look fairly neat, but have bugs running around that bite guests at night. The beds provided are of very good quality however. House-keeping can get quite sloppy, and don’t always change the sheets. The front desk isn’t trained well, is noticeably inefficient and is less than friendly. Customer service is almost abysmal, which can also be said about the manager’s involvement.
