Customer Reviews for Sheraton North Charleston Hotel

Not worth the $$$ - posted on 03/28/2007

This hotel is in an older part of town. There is nothing close to it. The pool needed cleaned. The gift shop was empty. Maintenance had to be called 2x to fix our air conditioning. Nothing was close by. I wouldn't stay here again. It wasn't worth the money.

Pretty good for the money - posted on 01/24/2007

The hotel is quite nice. Very nice lobby. Rooms are good sized, but bathrooms are small. Nice bed. Wi-Fi Internet worked well. But there are no restaurants nearby. There is nothing beside the hotel except for a trucking company (scenery isn't great). But if you're looking for a good room at a good price, this is it.

will stay again - posted on 01/05/2007

Hotel met our expectations. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The lobby was decorated beautiful for the holidays. Staff were all friendly. We had trouble with room service, but they were patience and accomodating in correcting the problems. The beds slept wonderful! We will most likely stay here again. Was a great deal for the price we paid.

Smells like mildew. - posted on 12/14/2006

Way, way below average for the chain, which I usually love. Everything smelled nasty, musty, stale. Rooms were only marginally clean and very worn. Bathroom was outdated & dirty. I actually cleaned the shower before my husband got in because I didn't want him to fuss at the staff. Main reception area was very nice to look at, but still smelled funny. The bar was nice, we watched a football game and had some wine. Nothing marvelous about the beds at this Sheraton.

Mediocre - posted on 12/12/2006

Yes, the hotel was clean and the lobby is nice, but my non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and the heater made a terrible racket. The food in the restaurant left much to be desired and the wait staff seemed to be in a bad mood.

The Good and Bad of Sheraton N. Charleston - posted on 11/20/2006

A decent place, but not for the price-quality combination, compared to the local motels/hotels. The main problem is that there are no sound barriers. You can hear everyone's alarm clocks and doors, etc. Also, the view was of some sort of depot which had loud dump trucks and 18-wheelers every morning starting at 7. The service was decent but not special. The king smoking room was otherwise nice though. The location is only a short drive from downtown, but with few dining/shopping areas near by. Final downside: they were inflexible when I tried to alter the reservation.

exceptionally good - posted on 11/14/2006

The staff (both front desk and room service) was excellent; courteous and helpful. Almost fully and beautifully renovated. Small things being finished. Entire building is WIFI. Tub and sink stoppers were missing. I've stayed in nicer places but for the cost this is an excellent deal!!! Don't pass this pass up!

Honeymoon - posted on 11/06/2006

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon sight unseen. Our first night we were in a rather small (but clean) room. The next morning we approached the front desk about this and they immediately switched us to a suite with their appologies at no extra charge. The hotel staff was helpful in finding us a rental car and places to eat. Everyone was so warm & friendly. We look forward to returning. This was a perfect honeymoon town!

Overnight stay - posted on 06/20/2006

The hotel lobby is beautiful. Very clean hotel. I loved the king size bed. It was very comfortable. Great dining room staff. The clerks and other staff were very friendly. This place is good for an overnight stay. I like the fact that they have a free shuttle to the airport which begins running 4am.

Loved it - posted on 06/15/2006

From the moment you walk in, the pictures you saw did not lie, the hotel is nice and fancy and with really good rates. It's only 9 miles from downtown, it is located next to the interstate roads so you can get right on and drive downtown. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff even handed us maps and printed directions to get around downtown. I paid for a king size bed and I loved every minute I was there.

Nice place to stay, affordable, and convenient - posted on 12/22/2005

We had a very nice stay at the Sheraton! From the moment we came in the front desk staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. We came with two small dogs that were given treats and a friendly smile. We stayed on the recently renovated club level- which the breakfast and cocktail hour could be expanded to 7 days a week and more variety. Otherwise we highly recommend and are greatly appreciative of the service and southern hospitality!

The hotel is in good shape, but it seems as if no one is doing any maintenance.

It's all Good - posted on 09/01/2005

The N. Charleston Sheraton Hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms were nice, neat and supplied with numerous phamplets with discount and recommendations of tours, resturants and after hour entertainment. We have nothing negative to say about our stay. We will be visiting again.

Best Feature-Beds - posted on 07/22/2005

The beds were comfortable. The comforters were ultra thicker than your standard room. We had a King and Double bed in our room. My sister and daughters had a blast. The service was poor and the front desk were rude and tried to swindle my change after check out. We didn't eat here because it was overprice. If you want breakfast just drive for 5 mins to Waffle House. Too far from everything. Not worth it.

Good place to stay - posted on 03/09/2005

We stayed at this hotel for only one night. We were going to the coliseum to see the Eagles in concert. The host at the front desk was extremely nice and informed me that the hotel would be offering van service to the coliseum if we didn't want to drive. The room was clean. Checkout was easy.

Was this a joke?? - posted on 02/08/2005

This hotel was just crummy!! The lobby was elegant, but when the elevator doors opened, you thought you realized this was just a really bad joke! The carpets were dirty, there was plaster and other building material everywhere. Curtain rods lying in the hallways, vents left uncovered, dripping faucets, and continuously running toilets. The ice machine on our hall was obviously torn apart, and the maid service did not even bother to change the sheets. I have stayed in hotels for half the price that provided a better service than this.
