This 289-room, eight-story moderately-priced hotel features the area's only indoor-outdoor pool with an adjoining fitness center. The Sheraton Hotel North Charleston-Convention Center is located between the historic downtown district and Charleston International Airport. The property is within easy driving distance of shopping malls, cinemas, several championship golf courses and the areas beaches. The hotel provides free transportation to and from the airport and its facilities are equally suited for the business or leisure traveler. The hotel has 13 meeting rooms and a ballroom for business seminars and banquets.

All rooms come with a desk and free Internet access, coffee and tea making facilities, two telephones with data ports, cable TV with pay-per view movies, hairdryer and iron and ironing board. The more expensive Sheraton Club rooms have the additional benefits of bathrobes, a copy of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today and complimentary access to the fitness center and the club lounge for a free breakfast, afternoon hors doeuvres and drinks.

Most former visitors here say they received good value for money. Several who paid extra for the club rooms said the extra services they received were well worthwhile. Some said they were disappointed with the quality of dining but nobody complained about the prices in the restaurant or sports bar. Tip from former guests: You can stay closer to Charleston but it will cost a lot more money.
