It was a great place for families. I am such a creature that I stay there every year. The staff are wonderful. And if I were looking for a place to stay for Spring Break and my daughter told me this was the best place I would believe her.

The hotel was very clean with a nice modern bathroom and good water flow. The ocen facing balcony has a great view. The employees were friendly and genuine.

This resort is right on the beach and also has both an indoor pool and indoor heated lazy river for those cool or rainy days. It is within only a few miles of many attractions including shops, restaurants and miniature golf. This was a great place to stay, just wish the on-site restaurant served all three meals. The breakfast was a little pricey too.

I came to this hotel with my b/f and everything was great, no complaints at all. The oceanfront room view is breathtaking and the pools( hot tubs, lazy rivers) were a lot of fun. They now have a parking garage so thats cool. Staff was always friendly and the location was great. It was close to everything but you felt like you could get away from the spring breakers once you got to the hotel. Loved it and wanna go back!

we were totally satisfied with everything at this hotel. the pools, lazy river and hot tubs got a lot of our time. It was hard for us to leave. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The ocean front room was great. We definately plan to go back.

The location and the employees were excellent. The hotel is older but very well kept and clean..did not know that the hallways were outside exsposed...kinda cold at night on the 8th floor..Would recommend for families.

Nice for our weekend stay- we didn't encounter problems 'til morning of check out. Elevators malfunctioned, working pop machines were sporadic. Don't get breakfast from their restaurant. We ordered take out and were charged more than the in-room menu stated and he mushroom omlelet was the worst I've ever had. Beside the rude hostess, the rest of hotel staff was nice and accomodating. They even have coupons for local attractions. We only paid $*/night in an ocean view room- if you can get it around that price, it's a steal.

The hotel was BEAUTIFUL!! I really enjoyed the stay there is plenty to do at the hotel. It is very family oriented and the staff was very nice. I will be going back to the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel during my firend's birthday. It is definately one of the best I have ever visited. Not the Wyndam but pretty close in quality for the money. Loved the stay. Great for young people. Going back in March w/my boyfriend!

Great place to take your family since they have so many things to do in the hotel. The pool area was nice with many options. The room service was great! Not impressed with the layout of the first floor, was confusing past the front desk. Could not find a luggage cart at 5:30 am when we checked out.

The hotel was great! We had a 3 BR condo the view was phenomenal! The staff was very friendly and wide awake considering we checked in at 3AM (lol). My whole group loved the hotel. It made our trip.

Excellent view. Hotel is older, but overall very well maintained. Excellent water pressure in showers. Need to update kitchenette. Room very comfortable. Good bed.

Started off bad - first room the a/c didn't work - they couldn't fix it so they moved us to a smoking room when we had requested a no smoking room so we were moved again - all this was at 11 at night with 3 kids. One elevator didn't work the whole weekend which was invconvenient. Overall was a pretty good trip.

the hotel was extremely dirty, rooms lacked towels, kleenex, toilet paper etc, we had to call housekeeping to obtain these items, pool area was totally unsupervised, children were allowed in the pool area without adult supervision, air conditioner was not working properly, room was not smoke free

This hotel was nice because it had nice pools and a nice lazy river my 6 year old loved it. The bad thing was that the balcony had small gaps in the rails and I couldn't let my 1 year old out there. Also the rooms weren't the cleanest but they were okay. The man in the gift shop was rude! And the maids threw out our stuff on the day we left before even checked out. The stay was nice and the view was great but my husband had to get our daughter's shoes out of the dumpster before we left. Overall I would stay there again but I think I'll try another next time.

The rooms were dirty and the tioles and wall paper were falling off in the bathroom. It was disgusting. It is definately in need of updating and cleaning.

We will return next year We come to myrtle beach every year, and we seem to try different hotels, but we felt at home here. My childern loved it, so did my husband. I would recommend this place to everybody.

Overall the hotel was very nice. Spectacular view! The hotel parking was terrible, had to park 3 blocks away. Had a hard time getting the cleaning women to clean the room properly. I thought at that price the room would have been emaculate...

Great Ocean views. Great Pools. New kiddie pool excellant for toddlers. Not impressed by food or interior of rooms (they were clean, but some damage visable on walls and in bathroom) Parking was awful (but they are building a parking garage) Misplaced my room card and the helpful clerk gave me another without checking ID- that was a little concerning even if I am a grandmother and probably look harmless

Had everything we needed. Our room was newly redone and beautiful. Views were great. Pools were nice, even though we spent all our time at the beach. Parking wasn't great (across the street usually), but that's Myrtle Beach for you! We had a small fridge, microwave and stove in our room. No problem w/cleaning, getting new towels, etc. Did have to wait until almost midnight for extra pillows, but that's a minor glitch. Hotel is north of the "tattoo parlor and party" part of Myrtle Beach, so that was good for us. I'd go again.

We are vacation with young children(2and3). The view is great. All room pretty much has an ocean view, so don't worry. With young kid, we are a bit worry about the balcony, the wall is about chest height. To get the view, my kids start to grab chairs to stand on, which make us really worry. Staff are great, helpful when we need them. Because this hotel is right on the beach, We have to park on the other side of the steet. which we don't mind. The kid love the kiddy pool. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, but the carpet is a bit sticky. Overall, we enjoy this hotel .

What can I say...This was the best vacation my husband and I have ever had. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Instead of paying for the local waterparks...this resort had all the pools we needed. The new Kiddie pool was a great touch. It felt as though we could touch the ocean. The rooms were very clean. It looks as though they just went through a major renovation. Must try the oceanfront breakfast bar. Staff was very friendly. If you are looking to be worry free...I would definatly recommend the Ocean Reef.

Had a horrible time in Daytona Beach FL in 01 for honeymoon. Was reluctant to spend $$ on another beach vac. Decided to stay here & glad we did - was WONDERFUL!! Great breakfast buffet, great employees, small but clean rooms, BEAUTIFUL view, great clean pools + more & all for a great reasonable price...go back every year now!

We stayed with them every spring break in March, for the last four years and discovered that this was the worst stay ever. Parking was terrible as the hotel was undergoing massive construction. Trucks, cranes and workers everywhere on the premises. The price of a night increased substantially and they kept screwing up the bill. Kids working the front desk were unprofessional. However, the breakfast buffet and view was great. After four years, I think this will be the last year. There are a lot of other motels to choose from next year.

This is a nice place to stay. The restaurant is right on the water (great view). Good morning breakfast buffet-a good value also. Friendly people working at the bar/gift shop/restaurant. I had my three year old son and my 70 year old parents with me. We all had a wonderful time. Nice beach and NINE pools-one is a lazy river! We will go back.

From an uncourteous, cratchety old greeter in the dining room to very sub-par housekeeping (stayed 11 days - had to call for towels on 5 of them), this resort has seen better days. We returned from last year to find a much reduced level of accommodations and courtesy by the staff up to and including the manager. The price is good but put a little more with it, stay somewhere else and forgo the disappointment.

Ocean Reef staff is very nice. We were desperate for a room at 10 p.m. due to the horrid room were given at another nearby resort. Staff was very friendly. Fruit basket, bottle The only disappointment was the balcony. On some floors the balcony has a wall approximately waist-high. Not conducive to sitting and enjoying the ocean breeze and view. All things considered I would highly recommend this resort.
