Hotel stay was fine. However, I had to check out earlier than I had expected. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again, but only when the hotel to keeps my schedule flexible.

Wonderful stay- hotel is beautiful with wonderful beach, pools, public areas. Good location- near everything, but far enough away to be quiet. Oceanfront rooms are nice, clean with small balcony. Employees are very helpful and pleasant.

Beautiful- views, pools, beach. Loved it!

Holiday weekend- lots of people and children. Nothing wrong with hotel though.

The 405-room Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes is part of the expensive Grande Dunes community, a 2,200-acre, plantation-style residential and leisure development. Activities available here include championship golf, tennis a large tropical beachfront pool with waterslide and a European spa. The 15-story, non-smoking resort has 14 meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 1,665 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include deep sea fishing, Brookgreen Gardens, Carolina Opry, Ripleys Aquarium, the Dixie Stampede and the Myrtle Waves Water Park. Items included in the room rate are in-room coffee and tea, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and a shoeshine.

Most families thought this resort was a great place for a vacation. Plus points were the location right on the beach, the large swimming beachfront pool with slides for the youngsters to enjoy and helpful and attentive employees. Several thought the resort was expensive, particularly dining here. There are other places in the area to eat but you will need a car, or a taxi to reach them. Words of warning from precious clients: Not all the rooms have ocean views. To enjoy this property at its best an ocean view is a must. Many clients said they would be back for future vacations. Some said they would look elsewhere for something less expensive, but doubted they would find a better beach.
