The 151-room Holiday Inn Myrtle Beach West is a short drive from Myrtle’s Beach’s numerous attractions and provides affordable accommodation for both the vacationer and the business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this five-story hotel are wireless Internet access throughout the property, local telephone calls, in-room coffee, a morning newspaper and parking. There is meeting space available for business or social functions that can accommodate 500 guests. The hotel has a golf service utilizing many of the 100 plus championship golf courses in the greater Myrtle Beach area. Other landmarks and attractions include Broadway at the Beach, the Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, Barefoot Landing, Myrtle Waves Water Park, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and numerous shopping and outlet malls.

This Holiday Inn gets mixed reviews. Fortunately those who enjoyed their stay outnumber those who were disappointed. Plus points here are the reasonable rates, location overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and the spacious and spotlessly clean accommodation. There were complaints about maintenance problems and some were disappointed that the hotel was not closer to the beach. All the rooms and three executive studios have a balcony, a work desk with high-speed wireless Internet access, television with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, iron and ironing board, AM/FM radio and alarm clock, coffeemaker, telephone with voicemail and a hairdryer. The studios have the added benefits of a pullout sleeper sofa, wet bar, refrigerator, microwave oven and a sitting area. Handicap accessible rooms are available.
