For a two-star hotel, I felt we got what we paid for. However, if it wasn't for the awesome breakfast each morning, we would've been very disappointed. For the area of myrtle beach, I felt we got a good price on the room, but was hesitant when we checked into the room, of how bad it may be or become, as we had stayed at this hotel about 9 years ago, and it wasn't as nice looking. The indoor pool was kind of dingy looking, although it was obviously treated with chlorine, which was evident when you walked into the area. We chose not to use the pool, as it had a green look to it, where we felt it should have been more clearly looking. The outside patio was very small and could not accommodate more than probably 8 people comfortably, at a time, so we were unable to lay and sit outside during the day. Outside of the musty smell in the room, it was adequate and served its purpose well. It was a nice touch to have baked cookies at the check-in counter, each night. What staff we corresponded with, seemed very nice and polite.

On the plus side, the location of the hotel was good. It was a short drive to the beach and most restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was very good. We went to breakfast about 15 minutes before closing every morning and all the food was still available. The person was working in the breakfast area made sure everyone had what they wanted. There are several items the hotel could improve on. We arrived on a Thursday night and found the wireless internet was down. There is a dedicated help desk number I called and they found the access points were down at the hotel. It took two days and three calls to resolve the problem. We had wireless late Saturday morning. As a result The work I planned on doing Friday had to be done Saturday. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi areas were nice but the water levels in both were down by almost a foot. The towels were very hard and uncomfortable to use. Even with the small problems we encountered, I would stay there again.
