The 111-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Broadway is one mile from the beach and provides inexpensive accommodation for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is located at Broadway at the Beach, a vast complex of restaurants, 100 specialty stores and boutiques, Ripley's Aquarium, miniature golf, 16 movie theatres and 10 nightspots. The property is also close to The Hard Rock Theme Park, The Palace Theater, Dixie Stampede, The Carolina Opry are more than 100 golf courses. Items included with the room rate are a breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby. The inn has a boardroom for social or business functions that can accommodate 12 guests.

This hotel gets many good reviews for its location near the attractions, reasonable rates and a crew of employee anxious to make your stay in Myrtle Beach as pleasant as possible. There were some negative comments that the accommodation is starting to show its age. The guestrooms have views over either Broadway or the swimming pool. Amenities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, telephone with voicemail, coffee and tea making facilities, cable television with news and movie channels, pullout sofa bed, iron and ironing board, alarm clock and a hairdryer. Some rooms have the added benefit of a separate Jacuzzi, microwave oven and a refrigerator.

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool. The American Athletic Club is a short drive from the property. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous places to eat nearby including a Hard Rock Café, Phillip’s Seafood Restaurant and the Nascar Café. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, an ATM, fax and copying services, valet-dry cleaning, vending machines and an airline reservations desk.

From Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) 5 miles: Turn right at first stoplight onto Grissom Parkway. Continue north through five stoplights and turn left onto 29th Avenue North. Go to next stoplight and turn right onto Resort Drive. After stopping at stop sign continue forward and the hotel is straight ahead of you.
