The rooms weren't as nice as I expected for a 4-star resort.

The grounds were nice.

$10 resort fee added for each day stayed. I would not have stayed here if I knew.

Very nice. Just wish it had been located directly on the ocean. Sits back some distance and view is blocked by trees. Exceptional landscaping. Bedding is very nice and comfortable.

Great rooms and very close to the beach.

Prices of the movies. They were 12.99 a piece. You could buy the movie for a little more.

The 340-room beachfront Crowne Plaza Hilton Head Island provides luxury accommodation designed for the upmarket vacationer and business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this five-story resort are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and a morning newspaper. The resort has 20,000 square feet of meeting space including the Oceanfront Pavilion, the Crystal Ballroom and the Captain's Boardroom. The resort is located within Shipyard Plantation allowing guests access to golf and tennis activities. Nearby landmarks and attractions include Daufuskie Island, the Harbour Town Lighthouse, The Mall at Shelter Cove, the Coastal Discovery Museum and Hilton Heads 12 miles of beaches.

Recent visitors to this upscale hotel were delighted with their choice of hotel and many were surprised by some of the negative comments posted by earlier guests. The professional team of employees from bellmen to maids and front desk personnel provided top-notch friendly service. There were some minor moans that this Crowne Plaza was a little pricey but several guests said if you want the best you have to pay the price. Those who dined here again found the costs high but had to admit the quality and service was extremely good.
