Great place with convenient location. 5 minute walk to the beach and shops, restaurants, nightlife, etc. super close to grocery store, which was nice since the rooms come with microwaves and refrigerators. They even have a lake out front with an alligator, which was cool. There were tons of kids there, unfortunately, but that seemed to be par for the course for Hilton Head in general.

Great location.

Walking distance from beach. Breakfast was a big wonderful surprise! We expected rolls and juice and we got fresh made waffles, boiled eggs, fresh fruit plus all the regular things! We were thrilled! Pool was not heated.

The pet-friendly Comfort Inn South Forest Beach comprises 153 rooms designed for families on vacation but equally suited to the business traveler. The property is located on six acres of wooded land and surrounded by three lagoons. Coligny Beach is within walking distance. Other area landmarks and attractions include several golf courses, Daufuskie Island, Harbour Town Lighthouse, The Mall at Shelter Cove, the Coastal Discovery Museum and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center. The property is eight miles from the Hilton Head Island Airport.

This is far from being the most popular hotel on Hilton Head Island. We still give it the YES rating because there were some positive features. The grounds are spacious and nicely maintained and ideal for taking the family pet for a walk. The rates are reasonable and the cheerful team of employees works hard to insure that everyone has a good time. Now for the bad news: The property is in need of updating and some clients were unhappy with the housekeeping.
